The Specification of the Moral Act

Below is part 2 of my thesis on double effect reasoning. In the fist part I just provide a basic review of the components of the moral act (of which ya'll are familiar): means, end, circumstance, object, intention, etc. This is a closer look at St. Thomas' understanding of "end," which is more complex than his understanding of some of the other parts of human action.
